At Diamond Barn Ranch, our moms receive exceptional care to ensure they are healthy, happy, and well-prepared for raising their litters. We take pride in breeding Dark Rich Red Golden Retrievers with exceptional minds and temperaments. Our focus is on producing intelligent and affectionate Goldens.
Daily Care & Nutrition: Our moms are active on our farm and rotate between our home and a climate-controlled building, ensuring they are well-socialized and comfortable in various environments. They are house-trained and crate-trained, making transitions smooth. Their diet includes Nu-Vet wafers and salmon oil daily for optimal health, while we avoid chicken-based products to prevent allergies, ear infections, and excessive licking.
Pregnancy & Whelping: Our moms whelp in our home with 1:1 attention to provide them with a calm, nurturing environment. We use heating pads to maintain proper body temperature for both the moms and their newborns. During lactation, they receive high-calcium supplementation, including calcium supplements, yogurt, and cottage cheese, to support milk production.
